OneTrack - Backing Tracks for Pros App Reviews

This app doesnt get regular updates. Its functionality is in theory nice. In practice it will stop in the middle of a track sooner or later when you on stage or wont start the next track at all. Weve been using it for over a year, and yes we know how it has to be configured and used. Thanks for nothing!

Yes, finally an app for musicians using backtracks! Been looking a long time for this —and this app delivers. The ability to change levels of each song, which the app remembers for the next gig, is brilliant. Would love to see individual EQ on each song too in a future update so studio tracks from different projects can be better matched. Bravo!

A brilliant tool for both amateur and professional musicians! Its obvious that its been designed by a musician and / or sound a Tech. So many useful features which are easy to use. One feature I would like to add would be to automatically normalise the volume for each track on each playlist. Sure, this can be done using the track volume in conjunction with the master volume, but its relatively time consuming.

It is perfect application for live performer.

A much more affordable alternative to Show Cues. Have been using this app for years and love it.

This app has been a staple for all of my show music. When I uploaded the latest apple update, the app cant find my playlist. Cant open the app to ask company for help. Im lost without this great app. Hopefully they are working on a fix. Update: I got super quick support from this company. The told me exactly what to do in my settings and all is running super. This is an awesome support team for this app. I Highly recommend this app and would be lost without it.

This is by far the best program available. It is very user friendly and clearly developed by a musician for musicians. I cant begin to express how happy I am to finally find a program that really works. So many musicians are using their IPADS for running backing tracks,and reading lyric and music sheets. I would like to see Sean add a swipe option to each track that would make it possible to pull up a custom made lyric sheet while the track is playing.

Ive used this app for several gigs, and its simple, inexpensive, and works as advertised. Only challenge is with DRM music through iTunes. Anything I create on my arranger is DRM protected by Apple. Sean from OneTrack was uber quick to respond and is helping to solution the issue. Great app!

The user interface in version 5 is just so horrible. This app no longer looks like a professional app. I had recommended this app to several of my artist friends and can now no longer do so for fear of being laughed at. The "tagged" design is just horrible. I so wish I could go back to the old design, that actually looked professional. I am going to have to find a new app now, which is a shame because this one was so good before the latest changes.

I have been able use this app and run all my show music and sound effects from the stage with no issues. All of the features are designed to make it easy to use and when I had to make changes on the fly I was able to within the app. I asked the hosts in our theater if they noticed anything different about the show after using the app (we usually have a sound guy) since they see & hear the show often I would imagine that they would notice if anything seemed a bit off. They couldnt tell that anything was any different. The app createor has been nothing but prompt in answering any questions or listeing to suggestions that I have offered. The update now puts this at the top of my app favorites.

Improvements are great but still waiting on iPad version. Few minor bugs but a great program for live performances. Support is offline at time of this review

This app is a godsend. Bravo! It blissfully washes away one of the biggest headaches I have when playing solo gigs with backing tracks. Now I dont have to worry about track volume varying from one track to another. I set it to auto play with 20 seconds between songs, then I can focus on my performance and audience. Perfect!

Im a professional entertainer and was in the market for an app to control my show music and sound effects. I was seriously considering one that sold for about $70 (I think they just increased the price to $90) when I stumbled into this cool little app. Except for a little more control of fade outs, this app is great for my needs. Communicated with the developer and he seems to be listening to his customers. Thanks.

I havent used this live yet, but playing with it and getting ready for this weekends gigs, Ive already learned to love this. Create your lists on the iPod app and it automatically reads them. Trim tracks, auto start, and stopping after the track ends are the highlights of this app. One thing I would add is the option to create a metronome track so you dont have to change aps when you only need a click. You could make a click track mp3, but not something I really want to deal with. 5 stars.

I have been using remote music systems for 10+ years and I absolutely love OneTrack. It works perfectly on my iPod Touch and my iPad Mini. Im a magician and I work alone so I need to be able to control my music remotely. Combining my iPod Touch, OneTrack and an iJet Nav remote and I am able to run my music without issues. I start, stop, fade, skip tracks, etc. and people rarely spot that Im using a remote (its in my pocket and I push the buttons by just putting my hand on my leg.) Being able to set different music levels for each track is really, really nice! On top of that, its really easy to edit playlists in OneTrack. This is just a great app!

This app is great. It is almost exactly what I am looking for. One thing it could use is a programmable fade in and fade out timer. When I pause a track, sometimes it ends too abruptly. Great for stage shows and performers.

I am a one-man show, and use this for my backup tracks. It allows me to control what is going to happen next. I really needed this app and was so thankful to find this. I can control the lineup, adjust the volume, and more. I still need to explore all the possibilities, but so far, this is the bomb !!!!!!

I am the band director at our church where we write and perform a lot of original music. I needed a solution that would allow me to run our custom backing tracks (and covers) and split the channels CLICK (left) into my muscicians/vocals in ear monitors, and the track music (right) into the house PA (track music also can be mixed into our in ear monitors). OneTrack is an awesome solution for me, and I can control it all from my AirTurn BT-105 foot pedal! I tried all the backing track Apps out there and none of them gives me the simplicity, flexability and stability that OneTrack does. I use it EVERY Sunday morning, and cant imaging not having this tool on stage with me. Great Job OneTrack!! -Clint

Simply put, if you use backing tracks in performance this is a must have app. Elegant interface, wonderful tools, so easy even a musician can use it..(pun) Anything you have ever wanted about playback levels, moving songs around in a set, pausing, count in, fades, it is all there.. The best 14.99 I have ever spent with at the app store.. Worth every penny…
